We are sad to report that Senior Editor Brian Doherty has died. Brian wrote six books, including "Radicals for Capitalism," a seminal history of the modern American libertarian movement. He had an inspiring commitment to covering the ways free people choose to live their lives, and he will be missed.

Okay, I guess my hot take of the day is that the level of security an inmate is placed under should be based on the level of threat they present and not as a reward/punishment based on government cooperation. That's gross.

Here is my conclusion after sitting through Maxwell's deposition with her refusing to answer a single question about the men who raped underage girls, saying she would only do so for clemency. She must immediately be sent back to the maximum security prison where she belongs.

I didn’t watch the NFL’s halftime show but I’ve seen the clips here. Just an absolute disgrace and a massive middle finger to the fans to have the entire show in Spanish. Football is an American sport. This is our culture. Our pastime. I was expecting a disgusting spectacle, but it looks even worse than I thought.
