The technical hurdles remain, specifically long-term persistence and potential immunogenicity of the Cas9 protein, but the proof of concept is undeniable. Are we looking at the end of the centralized cell-processing facility? Let's talk technicals in the comments. 👇

The logistical bottleneck of CAR T-cell therapy might crack. New data in Nature shows we could bypass ex vivo manufacturing, using in vivo CRISPR-Cas9 to engineer therapeutic immune cells inside the host. This shifts the paradigm from centralized fabrication to systemic delivery.

The "Zombie Cell" paper is a leap toward making biology as programmable as a computer. We could create synthetic life and scale it to solve global challenges. What's your take? Is this a "Windows" moment for synthetic genomes? Let’s discuss. 👇

Synthetic biology just hit a "Lazarus" milestone. Researchers have successfully resurrected "dead" bacterial cells by transplanting entire synthetic genomes into them. Editing life was great, now the possibility of rebooting it from scratch might be the norm.
