Caption: Happy Mother’s Day to one of the most amazing moms on the planet! (I'm married to the other one @MaryBethChapman!) Last year I shared a song my mom inspired me to write and thought I’d share it again on this special day. “Speed of Love” was inspired by the quiet, steady way she’s lived her life - always noticing people, always making time, always choosing kindness. Whether serving at a community kitchen or simply listening to someone’s story, she’s shown me what it looks like to love people like Jesus! After walking through two battles with cancer, her faith continues to amaze me. She tells me, “That’s why the Lord kept me here… so I can keep shining His light.” And shine she does! This song is for my mom… and for all the moms whose everyday faithfulness may never make headlines, but are changing the world “one little heartbeat at a time” and leaving a beautiful mark on the world! Happy Mother’s Day!

While in Tuscaloosa this past Saturday for Stevey Joy’s graduation Mary Beth and I passed a Barnes and Noble and decided to go into “covert mission mode” 👀. We discovered a nice little stack of our “Still Here” books and may’ve left a few signed surprises behind near Midtown Village…report back if you find one!

A little Chapman update from Orlando, Florida and the Cheerleading Worlds competition, where @stevey_chapman and @usacheer are makin’ America proud as they represent the Red, White & Blue! Mom & dad are maybe just a little sad ‘cause this is Stevey Joy’s final competition…😢 But we’re soakin’ up every good minute of it…& grateful for the amazing people who have been a part of our girls amazing journey in the cheer world!

So raise your hand if you know what today is?“ 🙋‍♂️ That’s right!…it’s “Earth Day”.   Ok, I’m gonna have to confess that I’ve not always paid alot of attention to Earth Day before, but when I saw it today I had the thought, “you know, I am very thankful for this earth that God made, even with all the brokenness that’s here on it for the time being. And I know we’re meant to be “good caretakers and stewards of it” while we’re here. So, it’s a good thing to have a day to remember that...and also to remember the incredible truth that Psalm 24:1 reminds us of: “The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him!” So yeah, Happy Earth Day to ya! A few years ago I grabbed my guitar and and came up with an “scc version” of this great old song (always loved Louis Armstrong’s version!), and I thought it would be a good day to share it again! Hope ya enjoy!

“I Will Be Here” was written as a promise to my beautiful bride, Mary Beth (@MaryBethChapman) - one that was never meant to just live in a song, but in a life together. A commitment to stay, to love, and by God’s grace, to continue to choose each other through every season. Over the years, I’ve heard so many stories of how it’s been a part of your weddings, anniversaries, and quiet moments…and I can’t tell you how much that’s meant to me. Today, I’m thankful to share “I Will Be Here (Instrumental)” - a new version I created to live underneath your moments, your vows, your memories. We also used this recording as the “ending” of the audio version of the new book Mary Beth and I just released, “Still Here”, which is actually read by the two of us…so you can give that a listen as well if you’re an audio book person! My hope is it can be woven into the “soundtrack” of the stories you’re still writing and living…by God’s grace!

Found another couple of books in our hometown Barnes and Noble (Cool Springs) and signed them…& we even had a tiny accomplice on this particular mission…extra small & extra sneaky!
