On Wednesday, we were delighted to host the Inaugural Lecture of the new Nuffield Professor of Population Health, Professor Prabhat Jha. Professor Jha joined @Oxford_NDPH and St John's this academic year, and it was wonderful to welcome him officially to @UniofOxford.

On the death anniversary of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda, I pay my respectful tributes to a visionary who dedicated his life to the identity, dignity, and empowerment of Jharkhand. In his honour, we are taking forward the expansion of the Marang Gomke Overseas Scholarship to support 50 students from marginalized communities in Jharkhand, enabling them to pursue higher education at leading global institutions in the UK. We are also advancing the launch of the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Doctoral Scholarship Programme in collaboration with @StJohnsOx @UniofOxford - strengthening India–UK academic collaboration and enabling our youth to engage with world-class research and innovation ecosystems. Our commitment remains steadfast - to carry forward Marang Gomke’s legacy by empowering our youth and connecting Jharkhand’s aspirations with global excellence. Johar!
