@golfcourses101 The most difficult shot at Royal Dornoch is your second attempt at the par 3 second hole, however, the key word here is “difficult” not “impossible”.

Should the design of a golf hole always provide for a reasonable chance to get up and down if you miss a green?

@jayblasi Great improvement Jay! The weak holes at the start of the back nine (11, 12, 13) have always been the reason that I rate Spyglass a better overall course.

Proposed New 12th Hole. 473 yds - Par 4. Playing from current 10 tees to an unused point on the cliffs. Backdrop would be the massive chasm on 8. Fwy could be 100+ yds given the cross slope. Best approach is from cliff edge.
