@GMMCB @RideHudsonLink Can I get a guarantee that it won’t close an hour earlier than it is supposed to like earlier this year. Planning ahead didn’t help then. There was no notification that it was going to close before 7am instead of 8am, even the website was reporting it was open.

‼️ The shared use path will be closed from 9 AM to 3PM this Thursday, Sept. 12, to facilitate maintenance activities. Please plan ahead. If you need to cross the bridge, you can take a @RideHudsonLink bus, which stops near both path landings and carries up to three bikes.

@GMMCB Why was it shut at 7.10 this morning? The website even said it was open. Thanks for making me 45 minutes late for work. Please treat the path like the transport route it is supposed to be!

When the @NYSThruway does construction on the roadway, they do it at off hours. Always trying to minimize disruptions. 🫡 But if you commute by walking or cycling... 🙈🙉

@GMMCB and why is it still closed? That was a really fast moving small cell going past, it was probably only in the area for 15 - 20 mins. There is absolutely nothing else on the radar, how long are people supposed wait around to be able to cross?

@BikeTarrytown @GMMCB I was thinking this biking home on Friday that I bet if they try and fix all the bumps along the path that they wouldn't do it at night but during the day.

@GMMCB Why? Y'all close the path every night from 10pm to 6am. Do the work then.

@GMMCB Are the motor vehicle lanes closed too? (Rhetorical question.) Y'all plow every flake of snow from the road, including from the shoulders, for people who drive for transportation. While people who rely on cycling/walking for transportation are left out in the cold. #DoBetter

@GMMCB @RideHudsonLink I would feel far safer walking or biking than sitting on a bus passing trucks on the left at 15-20mph over the posted speed limit. If I am able to decide to bike to the bridge I should be able to decide it I want to bike across it.

@GMMCB @RideHudsonLink I would have felt a lot safer on my bike or walking than I did driving or riding a bus across the bridge with trucks and trailers veering over 2 lanes and into the bus lane at times

@GMMCB Is the bridge closed to trucks? If not then it has to be safe enough for walking or biking.
