The Federal Court here literally means "clothes and makeup". They are literally protecting clothes and makeup ahead of biological sex. This is a quite extraordinary state of affairs for Equality legislation designed to protect women to be in.

There is a rugby term "the right to go wide". If you've done the hard brute work with your forwards and created space then you can go wide and gain yards or score. Or you'll be smashed hard into touch.
The right to go wide here was stopping the Hate Marches stone dead.

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.
