Checked out the new @switchyards in Kansas City. I’ve followed them since their first location in Atlanta. This is what a coworking spot should look like. Also, they are a masterclass in developing a brand and aesthetic. Cool to see them expanding more outside of Atlanta.

The team at @switchyards has cracked the "third place" for the next era after Starbucks. And it's so different than WeWork. Neighborhood Work Clubs Every time I ask someone how they feel about Switchyards, they always respond, "I love it so much." "I would spend $100 at Starbucks a month, and now I get great coffee and a special place to work, hang out, and be around a great community. And it's close to home or I can go to a different one if I wanna change it up." --- When Starbucks started, it was the "Third place" that was Howard's vision for scaling... "Schultz's vision for Starbucks was to create a welcoming and comfortable environment that served as a "third place" – a space beyond the confines of home and work where people could relax, socialize, and connect."
