Every paint touch requires a decision. ✅ No help? Finish It. ✅ Rim protector? Float It. ✅ Defender retreats? Pull It. ✅ Ball-side help? Kick It. ✅ Rim rotates? Dump It. ✅ Weak-side help? Skip It. Teach players how to think, not what to do.

Don’t let the defense take away your Wave action. If the slot-to-slot pass is denied, the PG dribbles over and swings it to the wing. The opposite slot and original ball-side corner make the Wave double-cuts to create a triple gap. We want to hunt triple gaps.

The Lane Assigned Break I favor lane assignments for young teams and early season learning: 1. Two wings run wide lanes. 2. A non-rebounding Big runs the middle. 3. PG gets the outlet and looks ahead. It simplifies the game.

GAPS. A gap is the space between offensive players. 🏀 Pass through Singles. 🏀 Drive through Doubles. 🏀 Hunt Triples. The best offenses don’t wait for gaps. They create them. We don’t hope for gaps. We create them. Then we attack.

We pass through single gaps. We drive through double and triple gaps. The purpose? Paint touches. The result? Advantage attacking basketball.

Spacing isn't simply where players stand. Spacing is timing. Spacing is movement. Spacing is understanding how your positioning influences help defenders. The best teams don't create space by accident. Every cut, lift, drift, exchange, and relocation has a purpose. Great spacing turns good players into great offensive units.
