Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will be on-site at @LaurelPark in Maryland during Preakness week with a variety of activations leading up to @PreaknessStakes 151 on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The Preakness is a Grade I race that spans a distance of 1 3/16 miles and serves as the second leg of the Triple Crown. Opening Day marks the beginning of Kentucky Derby Week and features a variety of festivities, including the post position draw for the 152nd running of the @KentuckyDerby presented by Woodford Reserve and the Longines Kentucky Oaks. Get to know Mountain States Retired Racehorse Rehoming! 👏 Mountain State Retired Racehorse Rehoming or MSRRR is a 40-acre farm 35 minutes east of Denver, CO. The founders realized a huge need for off-the-track horses needing 2nd careers back in 2008. This is when they started campaigning for a better future for horses from Arapahoe Park in Aurora, Co. and subsequently from many tracks and breeding farms in Colorado and neighboring states. This small act of rehoming one horse turned into over 350 between 2008 and 2021 and has continued on after becoming an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2021. Learn more: bit.ly/4cAJ1yB
