Found a photo on my phone of me & chums in 1986 at the Artists Against Apartheid Festival on Clapham Common (We were there for Big Audio Dynamite) But prob most famous for when Boy George was nodding out onstage right before the ‘my heroin hell’ story hit #totp #totp86

@KGeorgiev90 @QPRTravels “Part of Gallen crew”. Ha! Nourry is fine. I’m just saying that objectively it’s v impressive that Milwall are 2nd ahead of Boro, Saints, Ipswich etc and not just management. I’m QPR, will be at every game until end of season. You? Hopefully we do as Millwall well next year.

@TedKessler1 @QPRTravels The disagreement is that you (part of Gallen crew) that don’t like Nourry don’t acknowledge that this Millwall push is the product of several good seasons, patient buildup and all. And you’re not ready to give Nourry the same courtesy of building up squad & club, it takes time.

Millwall are going up because they employed a proper manager

@TedKessler1 @QPRTravels Still early, but we have several assets & some big money coming off the books this summer. Club is clearly heading in the right direction. 😉

@TedKessler1 @QPRTravels None of the big assets that allowed the club to reinvest were brought on by him btw.

@JBTC39074087 @QPRTravels Well, we can look at the previous five finishes and draw a different conclusion but it doesn’t matter. Was just responding to it being a manager switch that makes a difference. Both clubs changed managers that winter. We’re ok and I’m happy. But Steve Gallen is an outstanding DOF

@TedKessler1 @QPRTravels Even before that Millwall have had good foundations for years, gallen wouldn’t have that if he had gone to qpr

@JBTC39074087 @QPRTravels They’d just finished 13th. He came in a week later. Better than 18th, yes. But he thought he was coming to QPR a few months earlier

@sleafordmods @anon_opin In a pre-streaming era, trusted LP reviews were an essential mechanism for readers (not artist): 1/ what’s this album about, where does it fit 2/ is it worth spending my money on. Nowadays, when everyone can hear everything, still useful as trustworthy signpost to good stuff

@anon_opin Every album finds its time, few are perceived as eternally weak. The album review is separate to this. It’s part of the industry mechanism, a gloat from people able to write basic perceptions about releases that the gambling artists must accept due to submission to the process

Most album reviews are disposable because they're written too soon. "what do I think after two listens?" Is a shit way of reviewing. Some albums take years before you realise how great they were, or how over hyped.

🚨At last the return of the retroQPR blog! Here is a piece I have put together on that memorable day 4️⃣0️⃣ years ago today. 😲 When @QPR ruined the title aspirations of our near neighbours, Chelsea. #QPR "We'll never be mastered" 🎶 retroqpr.home.blog/2026/03/31/sin…

I think that is the most clinical performance I’ve seen from a QPR side. Almost every very chance taken with finishing of the highest order. Who is this team? Outstanding stuff.

@GoatedAdel @MattWinton2 @UpTheRs I think he should've gone in August until Xmas, then re-evaluate. But spilt milk: he's got eight games in Madsen's position now probs, which looks his natural fit. Play every week, see how he does. Feel he's Madsen's eventual replacement, not partner, but try them in preseason?

@MattWinton2 @UpTheRs decent debate indeed mate 50 championship appearances- but 2400 minutes. Thats about 26 90s- I think he'd grow a lot quicker physically if he played ~40 90s in league one, but that's just my opinion

I tuned into the excellent @UpTheRs pod last night, but I disagree on Morgan needing a loan next season. I’d much rather see him alongside Nico as our midfield two, a loan feels like a step backwards at this stage.

Just been told that my memoir, 'The Goldberg Variations - From Football Hooligan to Opera Singer', is Robert Smith of The Cure's favourite book. Blimey.

@MattWinton2 @HRHJaffeJoffer I truly also believe that every QPR fan just wants to win more often, to have more players available and therefore really want Nourry to succeed. I do. But 2026’s been alarming. Questions are warranted

@MattWinton2 @HRHJaffeJoffer I agree with this. He’s surely learnt a lot quickly. But I do think the job is too big for any one individual, it should be two jobs + both should be subject to a deep review at season’s end. Clarity over Hoos’s role too, given he “retired” but is omnipresent (and silent) now.

@2025_wells Eight games left, no easy candidate immediately improves it, interim manager this late rarely works (see Spurs), will get wins from dead rubber matches for sure, players may return for final games, better devil you know this late… Get to summer. Then big reassessment of all
