Maybe I'm a bit dense, but I can't seem to fathom this out at all!!!

What exactly is this site supposed to do/achieve? One may as well use e-mails, it would be a lot simpler to understand.

I'm getting confused now. I just posted two messages and now they've disappeared, and I can't figure how to get my mobile number accepted.
