Hey @TheFreshMarket it’s extremely weird to have crotch level cameras randomly throughout at least this store I’m in. One was many 5 inches from my wife’s private area for a few mintes until she stepped away. No way this is for security.

@pumpkinh8r If a person is in front of the camera at the time it is scheduled to take a picture, it will NOT take the picture and wait until there is a clear show of the opposite aisle again. There are no customer images or customer data collected through these cameras.

@pumpkinh8r The cameras do not film, they take pictures usually every 5-10 minutes throughout the day, and they are a key device to help us maintain a high on shelf availability. They are strictly pointed and focused on the aisle across from the camera.

@pumpkinh8r Hello! We can assure you these cameras are NOT filming or taking photos of our guests, or any individual who walks near them. They are Captana cameras and work by taking pictures of the shelves to identify what items are missing so our team members can replenish them quickly.

Very disappointed w/ @TheFreshMarket. Bought 2 racks of baby back ribs yesterday. Got smoker all setup, opened ribs to prep, Smelled awful! The “best used or frozen by date” 05/14/26. 2 full days before I bought them! 3rd degree returning $32 of ribs & out of stock.
