This is the unironic condition of the church when it comes to lust. Shame and absolutely zero guidance. Of course an entire generation of men failed and continue to fail despite their best efforts. They've found themselves in the most violent war of the soul known to man, without any of the proper equipment or training to see them through. I’m not going to tell anyone to get an accountability partner, you’ll just lie to them. I’m not going to tell you to get internet software, you’ll just find a way around it. I certainly won’t tell you to discipline yourself because the same snare that trapped many of the bravest warriors and wisest kings of biblical history will do the same to you. Understand this, my brothers in Christ. You are powerless against your own flesh. But you can overcome by the the Blood of the Lamb and the power of the Holy Spirit living within you. Your salvation is in the struggle, and He will give you the strength daily if you seek Him. Remember, you have to love what you’re fighting for, more than the temptation. And finally, do not fall into despair. Now dig in, stack up and fix bayonets.

Adam Lane Smith | The Attachment Specialist
New research indicates that fathers build bonds best with their children (and craft secure attachment in them) by "destablizing the child" in a "safe environment. Fathers in the study had a unique ability to make their children laugh and therefore create more perceived safety for the child which led to stronger attachment. Mothers made children feel safe too, usually with repetition and soothing, but the laughing and playing did not make the children as attached as it did when fathers performed it. Several things jump out from this at me: First, a father who is relaxed enough to laugh and play indicates a safe environment. Fathers are biologically the providers of safety, so if dad is relaxed, the world must truly be safe. Children may be picking up on this. Second, being worthy of a father's time and attention is a huge marker for kids. A father's attention may actually mean more in many cases, as we've seen in other studies. The bond with mom is equally as important, but sometimes the bond with mom is taken for granted, where the bond with dad is taken as remarkable due to perceived other demands on his time. What this means: Dads, you've got to be playing with your kids. As silly and disruptive as possible. They need this from you. It's one of the strongest ways they can bond to you. Horrific story out of South Korea. A young woman wanted a late-term abortion, and her “doctors” delivered her 36 week old baby via c-section, alive, and then stuffed the baby in a freezer, where the baby died. Abortion is legal in South Korea through all nine months. It would have been legal if they had murdered the baby in-utero, but because the baby died in the freezer, not the womb, there are now murder charges. Infanticide and abortion are two sides of the same coin. Same human lives, but different locations. The murder of babies is the most prevalent and depraved evil in the world today. People ask me why I spend so much time advocating for these lives. This is why. We must criminalize the killing of babies, born and unborn.

The “honeymoon phase” is one of the most harmful marriage myths. Young couples go into marriage expecting immediate bliss. Even worse, they believe that however happy they are in the first few years, that’s the happiest they’ll ever be. The truth is exactly the inverse. It’s hardest at the start. Anything worth doing is always going to be most difficult when you first start doing it. Gets better and better as you go. Stick with it. The real honeymoon comes later. You need to grow into it.

Imagine having fuck you money, no wife, no kids, and you're bragging about how you get a full night's sleep lmao. These "optimization" guys are such nerds, I can't imagine hanging out with these people all day it must be exhausting.
Camus@newstart_2024

Chris Williamson just shared his "nuclear" sleep stack that's quietly changing his life—and Andrew Huberman breaks down exactly why it works: If you're lying in bed at 2 a.m. scrolling or staring at the ceiling, this 4-minute protocol combo might be the fastest way to shut your brain off without pills. The two killer techniques Williamson swears by: 1. The Mind Walk (visualization on steroids) - Imagine walking a route you know perfectly (your house → front door → street) - Do it with insane detail: feel the shoehorn, hear the key turn, feel the door handle, pressure of the pavement - It's like reading fiction for your nervous system—engages the brain just enough to stop problem-solving loops, but not enough to keep you awake 2. Resonance breathing with the Ohm stone lamp - Bedside lamp with induction-charging stone that has a built-in FDA-cleared HRV sensor - Hold the stone → 3/6/9/12-minute guided sessions with silent tactile vibration (no sound, no light, partner-safe) - Guides you into true resonance frequency (max vagal tone) → the stone knows when you hit it - Williamson calls it “the sickest” sleep tool he’s ever used—currently in stealth (ohmhealth, not widely available yet) Huberman adds the neuroscience: Looking down + eyelids lowering activates parasympathetic circuits and deactivates wakefulness-promoting brainstem nuclei. It’s literally pedaling the sleep pedal while shutting off the alertness arm. Williamson: “Some days you need the adventure story (mind walk), some days you need the physiological hammer (resonance breathing). Stack them and I’m cross-eyed into sleep.” Already trying one of these? Or is your nighttime routine still a war zone?

Feminism doubled the workforce and men's wages never recovered. Now every family is stuck in a two-income trap. @Rach4Patriarchy "Mostly women do a lot of the same things they used to do in the home. They're nurses, they're early childhood educators, they're retail workers, they're cooks, they're housekeepers. So now, instead of staying home with your kids and doing all these things for your family and for your community, you're doing them for a corporation. And you're paying income tax. You're paying all the other taxes associated with having to work outside the home: gas tax because you're driving back and forth to work, payroll taxes, all that kind of stuff. And you are away from your kids all day. Where do they go? They go to public schools, where the public school system then can dictate to them what the values should be, what the worldview should be, instead of the parents."
