Thanks to a tip via the Ogle Mole Network, we’ve learned Desmond Mason’s recent arrest is connected to a felony theft warrant issued out of Melissa, Texas. According to the tip, the warrant was issued back in February after Mason was accused of stealing a rare, game-worn Kobe Bryant rookie jersey connected to one of his art projects. Apparently, Mason took the jersey and simply kept it. We’re still waiting for official word from Melissa PD and Collin County, and we’ll update you when we learn more. According to Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, he did “zero” favors to help his campaign donor Sara Polston score an early release from prison after she nearly killed someone while driving drunk. But recorded jailhouse calls between Polston and her husband – prominent Norman tax attorney and Stitt supporter Rod Polston – tell a very different story, and suggest the governor was even considering a pardon! The whole thing is shameful, awful, and a sad new low for a governor who specializes in producing new lows.

LEAKED FILES PAINT UGLY PICTURE OF JUSTIN HUMPHREY’S PAST... Long before State Rep. Justin Humphrey became a cockfighting-curious Bigfoot hunter running for Lt. Governor, he was an employee with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. And based on a large batch of DOC files we obtained through the Ogle Mole Network, his time there was a little messy. According to the records we obtained, Humphrey was investigated by the agency for alleged sick-leave double-dipping, a bizarre land-grab complaint involving an intellectually disabled offender, and a hodgepodge of other allegations, accusations, and DOC drama from his state government career. You know, normal “please make me Lt. Governor” stuff. To be clear, none of the investigations led to criminal charges, but they paint an ugly picture and add some interesting context to Humphrey’s years-long war against the very agency that once employed him. Chief Photographer Arrested in News 9 “Peeping Tom” Case! Thanks to a tip via the Ogle Mole Network, we’ve learned former News 9 chief photographer Darrell Vannostran was arrested this morning on “felony use of photo or video equipment in clandestine manner in private place,” after he allegedly placed hidden cameras in both the men’s and women’s dressing rooms at the station. Vannostran – who was an early suspect and placed on leave after the cameras were discovered – is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail on a $25,000 bond, and could face up to five years in prison. Hidden Cameras Discovered in News 9 Dressing Rooms! We have learned via The Ogle Mole Network that OKCPD is investigating a pair of hidden cameras found in the @News9 men’s and women’s dressing rooms. According to a search warrant affidavit, the cameras were discovered on March 24th by a janitorial crew.
