Composed on the outside… inside it’s just breath waiting to explode into harmony.

Yesterday, we had the honour of joining fellow choirs in presenting the Easter Carols at @Parliament_Ug. An evening of reverence, reflection, and shared musical expression; grateful for the opportunity to lend our voices to such a meaningful occasion.

Every now and then the notes behave… but most times we have to negotiate with them.

Every now and then rehearsal sounds like a concert… but the mistakes are what make it honest.

From roasted sweet potatoes to rehearsal rooms.....some traditions clearly refuse to retire.😅

Fun fact: “Ensemble” comes from French meaning “together.” It was first used for matching outfits before musicians borrowed it to describe groups performing as one. Basically, a choir is a perfectly coordinated sound outfit. 🙂

Some people speak. We sing. Either way, we’re trying to say something that words alone can’t.
