In 2013 I was HS HFB in Vallejo Ca. I was PE teacher, & tasked with trying to turn 7 players in 1st football meeting into a Jv:Varsity football team. We went to playoffs year 1, I made 38k. My office was a tiny closet space in boys locker room. Jeremiah 29:11-13 Chase the Dream!

More schools. SW DeKalb & Lakeside Dekalb were powers when i was in hs (90-94). Dunwoody won it in 93. Then they built Stephenson (1996), MLK (2001), Miller Grove (2004)

There needs to be a study on how in the 90’s and early 2000’s DeKalb county was running football in Georgia.

@DwStatham Those schools did for sure. Im speaking just Dekalb schools bc that’s where I grew up. Mid 2000’s, MLK, Stephenson, and Tucker where competing with those type of schools. I don’t think they can compete with them anymore like back then. VHS, LHS, & BHS are on a different level now

1991 — LaGrange vs Colquitt County (GHSA 4A State Championship) The day before this game, USA Today No. 1 Rialto (CA) lost… Suddenly, LaGrange was playing for a National Championship. Late 4th quarter: Colquitt County leads 16-14 and has the ball. Then— Walter Harris (future NFL Pro Bowler) picks it off at the 10. What followed: an 83-yard drive to win it. And it all comes down to a 4th & 11 that is still talked about today as being one of the greatest plays in GA HSFB history. 🎥 Watch this drive
