@celina101010 So while you’ve tried to use IQ as a rhetorical mic drop, the post shows more about wanting to appear informed than actually being informed. Ironically, that attempt only underscores the gap in your own knowledge.

IQ is among the most robustly validated constructs in the social sciences highly reliable across repeated testing, strongly heritable, and predictive of life outcomes. You can dislike what it implies, but denying nature doesn’t make it disappear.

@celina101010 As for predicting life outcomes, IQ is only one factor, and far from a definitive one. Non-cognitive traits like motivation, emotional regulation, creativity, social support, and even sheer opportunity often have a stronger influence on long-term success.

@celina101010 it means that within a specific population, under certain environmental conditions, variance in IQ scores can be partly explained by genetic differences. Change the environment (nutrition, education quality, stress exposure, cultural tools), and the measured “heritability”
