I just completed my 48th book. From 1989 to today, they have all been labors of love. Even today, the most laborious thing I do is responding to the editor’s marks and comments. It’s humbling and frustrating. You would think I could get it right by now.

Counting my blessings. My 10-year-old granddaughter texts me almost every week to check on me. It is a gift of grace. I don’t deserve it, but I completely treasure it.
