የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ባንክ፣ የኢትዮጵያ የሰነደ ሙዓለ ንዋዮች ገበያ (ESX)፣ የንግድ ባንኮችና የፋይናንስ ዘርፉ ቁልፍ ባለድርሻ አካላት በተገኙበት የአገሪቱን አውቶሜትድ በባንኮች መካከል የሚካሄድ የውጭ ምንዛሪ ግብይት አውታር (Platform) ዛሬ በይፋ ተጀመረ። የግብይት አውታሩ በኢትዮጵያ በመካሄድ ላይ ላለው የማክሮ ኢኮኖሚ ማሻሻያና ለፋይናንስ ዘርፍ ዘመናዊነት ወሳኝ ምዕራፍ ሲሆን፤ በባንኮች መካከል በሚደረገው የውጭ ምንዛሪ ገበያ ውስጥ ግልጽነትን፣ ትክክለኛ ዋጋን የማወቅ ሂደትንና የገበያ ሥርዓትን ያጠናክራል። በማስጀመሪያ መርሃ ግብሩ ላይ የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ባንክ ገዥ ክቡር ዶ/ር ኢዮብ ተካልኝ ሲናገሩ “ዛሬ በይፋ ያስጀመርነው የግብይት አውታር የአገራችን የውጭ ምንዛሪ ገበያን መዋቅር ለማዘመን አስፈላጊ እርምጃ መራመዳችንን ያሳያል። ይህ በባንኮች መካከል የሚካሄድ የውጭ ምንዛሪ አውቶማቲክ የንግድ አውታር (Platform) ለተሳታፊ ሁሉ ግልጽ፣ ፈጣንና በመመሪያ የተመራ የገበያ አካባቢ ይፈጥራል። መድረኩ የገበያ ዲሲፕሊንን ለማጠንከር፣ የዋጋ ሂደትን ለማሻሻልና የፋይናንስ ገበያ ሪፎርምን ለመደገፍ ትልቅ ግብዓት ነው።” ብለዋል። ክቡር ገዥው ከኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ባንክ ባለሙያዎች በተጨማሪ በዚህ ሂደት ላይ የተሳተፉትን የኢትዮጵያ ሰነደ ሙዓለ ንዋዮች ገበያ (ESX) እና ሌሎች አካላትን በሙሉ አመስግነዋል። ሁሉም ባንኮች በመድረኩ ላይ በንቁ መንገድ እንዲሳተፉ እና ከመመሪያዎች ጋር የተጣጣመ ሥራ እንዲያከናውኑ አሳስባዋል። Today, the National Bank of Ethiopia officially launched Ethiopia’s Automated Interbank Foreign Exchange Trading Platform at the National Bank of Ethiopia, in the presence of the Ethiopian Securities Exchange, commercial banks, and key financial-sector stakeholders. The platform marks a major milestone in Ethiopia’s ongoing macroeconomic reform and financial-sector modernization, strengthening transparency, price discovery, and market discipline in the interbank foreign exchange market. Speaking at the launch, Eyob Tekalign, Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia, stated: “Today’s demonstration marks an important step in modernizing our foreign exchange market infrastructure. The Interbank FX Automated Trading Platform provides a transparent, efficient, and rules based environment for all market participants. Its adoption will help strengthen market discipline, improve price discovery, and support the broader financial sector reform agenda.” The launch underscores NBE’s continued commitment to building a transparent, market-based, and resilient financial system that supports sustainable economic growth.
