@RidgeLLP @EQUANS_UK Instead of the current gas radiators, we get electric heaters. All the like-for-like pledges have been thrown out the window. Talking of windows, the new ones are far smaller than the current one, "for planning reasons". So our £25k portakabins will be dark & dingy too😧[4/4]

@RidgeLLP The contractor Engie, now renamed @EQUANS_UK, stated in its literature that the new bathroom would be replaced "to match" the existing one. Now the council claims this was never stated, or only refers to the "timber-framed modular structure". Basically, like it or lump it [3/4]

External consultants @RidgeLLP the council to offer "a range of standards as well as designs so like-for-like replacements can be agreed with leaseholders". The current £950 "higher specification" has 3 colour choices, exactly the same bath, & a slightly less basic toilet [2/4]

In 2021 @haringeycouncil said our new bathroom pods, which we must pay at least £25k for, would get interiors "at no extra cost". Now they plan to break this promise & charge us £950 for a so-called "higher specification" - i.e. not the bog standard in their show pod below [1/4]

Apparently several void properties in #NoelPark are kept aside for decants, so we wouldn't exactly have been moved to hotels. Which raises the question, why couldn't they build us new brick pods in the first place? (3/3)

For years @haringeycouncil told us it couldn't afford to build brick replacements for our old pods because it would have to decant us for weeks. Instead we had to pay towards new temporary pods that would supposedly be craned in the same day as the old ones were craned out (1/3)

This is a rip off! No wonder they coerced people into signing the contract before showcasing the sample.

Now it looks like these bog-standard designs have already been pushed through, & we have no hope of complaining. We're being expected to pay £25,000 for portakabins made of chipboard, with gaps between the panels & no insulation. It's nothing less than extortion. #Fleecehold

Our point of contact is the Residents' Liaison Officer at @EQUANS_UK. Trouble is, she's uncontactable. Our messages go unanswered for weeks, then months. We're wondering if she even exists. Communication has been dire throughout this process. Sadly, we're used to that🙁 (3/3)
