Sorry, Katie. You're not old enough to know what Britain was like 40+ years ago. It's probably sounds patronising but it's not meant to. Believe me when I say, Britain is unrecognisable to everyone who grew up between the 50s and 80s.

@tobyfoster Highly likely he’ll be the next PM. He doesn’t do messages for a living - his living is being a MP Probably wise for him to ditch this tatty extra curricular activity, he earns £millions elsewhere from appearances, his show on non bias GB News channel (😀) and Russia

If you earn £100 and pay £30 income tax you’re left with £70 You then buy £70 of fuel and you pay 59% fuel duty & VAT (£41.46 of the £70) Which means the government just got £71.46 tax from your hard earned £100 No wonder people can’t afford to live in the U.K
