Players like Toby Lane and Victory's Tucker Fox started the year at the top and did nothing to change that all year long.. The success of teams like Fort Meade and Ridge saw some new faces emerge. ***Breaking News*** The All Polk Hoops 1st Team has been released: Toby Lane, 2026, 5'10, G, Santa Fe - started the year at this spot and ended the year in the same place. The General had a phenomenal career. He earned 1st Team All State honors this season. He will continue to play basketball at Seton Hill University (PA). Tucker Fox, 2026, 6'1, G, Victory - Heart and soul of the Victory squad that achieved back-to-back state runner-up finishes. Many will remember his final 18 pt explosion in the fourth quarter of the state championship. He earned 1st Team All State honors this season. He will continue his career at Saint Anselm playing football. Ja'Kylen Crossley, 2026, 6'4, G, Bartow - One of the top shooters in Bartow, Polk County, and State history. He improved each year for the Yellow Jackets and turned in a stellar final season. He earned 2nd Team All State Honors this year. MJ McCalla, 2026, 6'4, F, Victory - the best post player in Polk County over the past 2 years. He battled each and every night and rarely lost. He will continue to play basketball at Florida Gulf Coast Jacksonville. Christian Fuller, 2027, 6'0, G, Victory - Leading scorer on loaded state runner up squad. He was a top impact transfer in the county and also an underrated defender. He is the top returning player in line for a huge senior campaign. Jaden Lindsay, 2026, 6'2, G, Auburndale - Most Improved Player in the county this year. He substantially improved all of his numbers as he led the Bloodhounds to the playoffs and one of their better seasons in recent years. ***Breaking News*** Lane earned the nickname "The General" due to his leadership skills and unique ability to pull the best from his teammates. Pound for pound and inch for inch, arguably the Most Valuable Player in the state this year. He improved in every statistical category from his first season (3.6 ppg) to his last one (16.5 ppg). He also improved each year in rebounding (from 1.9 to 4.2 rpg) and steals (from 1 to 3.4 spg). He led his team back to the State Final Four this year when many counted them out after losing Tate Darner to graduation. Big mistake. ***Breaking News*** Class of 2026 Top 20 has been released: 1. Toby Lane, Santa Fe, 5'11", G - Finished off an outstanding career by leading the team back to State Final Four. Will head to Seton Hill University next year. 2. Tucker Fox, Victory, 6'1, G - You won't find a more clutch player in the state. He almost willed his team to a state championship. Will head to Saint Anthelm University to play football next season. 3. Ja'Kylen Crossley, Bartow, 6'4,G - Finished his career as one of the most prolific shooters in school and county history. 4. MJ McCalla, Victory, 6'4, F - Top inside player in the county for the past 2 years. A true force and hard worker who maximized his ability all year. 5. Jaden Lindsay, Auburndale, 6'2, G - Became a true star this year for the Hounds. He finished his final season in stellar fashion. 6. DJ Howard, LCS, 6'2", G - Elite two sport star who was one of the top athletes all season. Will head to the University of South Dakota to play football next year 7. Jordan Gunther, Auburndale, 6'5,F - Went back home for his final season. Was equally effective on offense and defense, leading the Hounds' playoff run. 8. Thok Gol, Victory, 6'8", F - Returned from injury and turned in a solid final season. Active inside and a terror on defense. 9. Juelz Bermudez, Davenport, 6'2,G - A high-scoring guard who was one of the bright spots for the Broncos this past year. 10. Curtis Walton, Ridge, 6'3, G - One of the top surprises this year. Really came into his own for the Bolts to lead them to the playoffs. 11. Gavin Hall, Winter Haven, 6'2", G - Unquestioned leader for the Blue Devils this year. Led the team in virtually every category and led them to district championship. 12. Mekhi Guillaume, Frostproof, 6'2, G - One of the top scorers in the entire county all year long. Two sport star who had fine career in multiple sports. 13. Omari Russell, Fort Meade, 6'3", F - Another top two sport star. Was a warrior every time out. Numerous football offers to choose sWill head to ?? to play football next year. 14. Jaelen Randall, Lake Wales, 6'2", G - Was one of the bright spots for the Highlanders. Scored in bunches. Will head to Husson University next season. 15. Derek Ramirez, Auburndale, 6'5, F - X factor for the Hounds. A consistent performer who was solid and dependable all season long. 16. Maso Pierpont, Jenkins, 6'3", G - High-level athlete. He was electric and entertaining in transition from start to finish. 17. Christopher Kelly, Avon Park, 6'8, F - The top shot blocker in the county. A true inside force for the Red Devils. 18. Cam Cottingham, Lake Gibson, 6'3, G - Explosive athlete. Was the leader of the Braves. Attacks the rim relentlessly. 19. Mekhi Berrien, Fort Meade, 6'0, G - Led the Miners to arguably their best season in school history. 20.
