@tomasmurray No kidding. I've slowly been going through my ho trains i had as a child and getting them ready to run again. Trying to plan a layout to get them going.

Working on the garden railroad this weekend.
I installed one set of girder bridges and another set to go.
Also going to install modified truss bridges over the waterfall,
which I’m also moving/turning.

Doing my part to keep a piece of history alive. I coulda built 20 modern rear bumpers in the time it took to roll these tubes and hand build this one in mid air
The tail doesn’t mount square on the car amd the shape of the fiberglass isn’t the same on both sides so keeping the gaps even all the way around was the challenge

Ok class,today’s lesson in racing terminology is “hit him a ton”.
I will now use the term contextually ,Mr Erb turned sideways on the front stretch and Mr Overton “hit him a ton”.

I did a Slow mo of Brandon Overton & Dennis Erb wreck last night at Smokey Mountain and glad this wasn't worse than what could've been, glad both Brandon Overton and Dennis Erb were okay from this 👍

Swiss Hutless “Dynamic”
With a Parilla tt25 reed valve engine.
One of the few race karts with cable brakes
I had one back in the day, not this model though, with a komet K78 rotary valve.

necessity/dumb luck.
Went there with two sets of tires
one set new one set used.
we couldn’t get the kart free enough
I didn’t want to totally use up the new set practicing, so we put it back on the used set and picked up half a second
won the nationals with that used set

This was Charlotte in 98 the year we won the nationals up in Iowa
