The Town of Ayer has made a commitment to use statewide opioid settlement funds to supplement and strengthen resources available to community members and address gaps that may exist in services. The purpose of this survey is to listen and learn about your experience related to substance use disorder as an Ayer community member. The information you share today will help us to focus on areas to develop recommendations that address community needs, and to identify opportunities for innovation and programming. Town Beach Closed 7/24 Be advised, the Board of Health has issued a notification regarding the water quality at Sandy Pond and the Geomean bacteria level has exceeded the acceptable threshold. As a precaution the Town Beach will be closed tomorrow, July 24. We are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as possible. Ensuring the health and safety of all beachgoers is our priority, thank you for your understanding.

Friedlander brings with her extensive experience in many facets of municipal government including operations management, strategic planning, public partnerships, grant writing, and community outreach. She grew up visiting Ayer and joins the Town after recently earning her Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from Brown University. Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) is proposing to build a new temporary research facility at its campus located at 117 Hospital Road in Devens, Massachusetts. The purpose of this new facility, called the fusion power systems research center, is to demonstrate key technology needed for fusion power plants. This facility will supplement our ongoing work on SPARC, CFS’ fusion energy machine, which is currently under construction at our Devens campus.
