@rjwolsey Well, there it is. Same pattern as the top in Gold but harder to trade imo. First down day technically invalidated when it breached the high intraday yesterday. By the close you knew the top was likely in and then it gaps and goes.

Concentration is a limited resource. If you’re a great trader you should be heads down focusing on the insane opportunities we are being offered by the market here. The amount of manure I’ve read recently you would think arguing on X was generating career defining profits.

@intuition_1111 Actually, the pain I mentioned in that post had nothing to do with trading but there have been many moments of extreme stress, frustration and mental pain during my career.

This morning I have finally closed the Gold short I took on 3rd March. It’s been the biggest trade of my career. I want to thank everyone in EFL who sat through it with me and had to listen to me talking about it incessantly. As I said at the time, I was a long way outside my comfort zone. I’ve made tens of thousands of trades across 25 years. I’m in at one level and out at the next. I’ve held something like this only a handful of times. I should feel elated. And part of me does. But I’ve spent the last three days writing my book and reliving a lot of painful times. This morning I’m too numb to feel what I probably should. That’s trading. That’s life.

The day I exited my Gold short, Silver closed as a bullish spike, an IDF and SFP, so I went long this morning targeting the stops above the ID high. I held Gold for 3 weeks while it dropped 18%. Today this Silver position is already up 10% from entry. The metals have been extraordinary lately.

@miguelproulx Just count it as a learning experience. If you trade long enough, you will see these moves again.
