I rebuilt my digital products store in to a marketplace - platsupply.com I was going to build it from scratch. Had a developer on board and everything. But we came to the conclusion it would take too long and cost more. I wanted something working within a month or two. I tried looking for a ready made solution and was half tempted to use Framer, but due to the amount of functionality I needed, Framer didn't really make sense. Somehow ended up with WordPress and some plugins. Surprisingly there's nothing else out there that can help you build a digital product marketplace that can allow vendors to upload their own products and have auto payouts. I also wanted full checkout customisation, Stripe integration, tax handling, complex discount set up, email flows and a bunch of other stuff. I could do all of this with WP. I used Bricks which is sort of like Framer for WP, it gives you a more visual front-end builder. I'm very familiar with WP so I can custom code most things, and when I get stuck AI tools come to the rescue. This all seems like the natural evolution from my previous store.
