There’s a perfectly good reason “You never see @cybertruck hauling anything” Current vault contents: -dirtbike (in pieces) -2 burner gas forge -anvil -propane tank -MiG welder -chainsaw -full size spare Haters will say it’s empty

So excited to see this one right before my trip to camp 😬 Anyone else see this code before? I’ve gotten it before but now it’s been twice in 2 days. I’d really like to not be stuck in low this weekend

@RmndCarr Electronics are their own category. Once they got smaller than radio shack components even I gave up 🤣 (shit I’m old)

I love right to repair, however, anything that has an electronic controller in it will need to meet the Cybersecurity Resiliency Act in the future. This will make it much harder, if not impossible, to modify/fix the original controller. Except for some simple component swaps of course.

Being able to repair is almost as important as being able to build something in the first place. Do you think the coming generations have any shot at being able to do either?

Mike is correct.

OG Cybertruck owners remember what life was like being the 1st in their city with one! Everyone wanted to ask you about it so you needed to prepare to spend a min of 20 mins at every stop!

@cybertrucknoob Turn on the screen grids to help you keep subject centered. I fly a mini too, it’s all about tiny smooth stick inputs! Also subject tracking works really well on DJi too, which can give you some great footage without all the fuss

@Tryangle DJI mini. It has modes but I have practiced with them enough. I was a bit impatient with it today and slow but doubled the speed up in edit.

@JerryJorgenson3 The majority of the world is still held together with duct tape and screws. That’s not going to change any time soon

As products get more complex and often require specific diagnostic equipment, it's just becoming harder to DIY. When I was young the 4H Club taught things like wiring a light bulb and other household circuitry. It is still useful today and is not likely to change much in the future. Bicycles are mostly user repairable and generally require frequent repair. This skill is still useful but only if you have a bicycle. Clothing tends to be non-repairable other than sewing on buttons. By the time clothing needs repair, it's usually close to being worn out. So there's a question about how useful this skill is. (Making clothes would be a better course.) Electronics is just about impossible to repair, and the repair typically fails within a month. Diagnostics is very hard, and if there are mechanical parts (turntables for example) the replacement parts are hard to come by or cost almost as much as a complete new turnable.
