We’re currently living in an era of "build it in a day." For the first time ever, anyone (including non-devs) can take an idea and transform it into reality It’s one of the most exciting times to be a builder right now. Literally has never been easier to create something new. Ex: Right now, you can build an ENTIRE AI-powered application in 1 day. Think about that for a second. Literally unimaginable a year ago. It's almost a superpower. BUT, there is a catch. Now that everyone is on the same playing field, it's easy to make bad and thoughtless products. This is why so many AI apps are so shallow today (and the majority of them are identical) If I can take your idea and build it myself in 2 days, is it really a good idea anymore? The barrier to entry is no longer 2-3 months of R&D + building - it's 1-2 days. (Also why you see so many copycats) It's too easy to churn out an idea, get some hype, but lose interest when users inevitably move on. So instead of doubling down, trying to talk to customers, and figuring out how they can actually build a product with depth, that solves a problem, they just hop to another idea. While AI has essentially lowered the barrier to entry to 0, it’s also discouraged building anything truly meaningful. All the basic ideas just end up forgotten in the abyss, while all the companies trying to solve real, hard problems end up succeeding.
