From 1969-1985 @universityatbuffalo had an anarchist college - Tolstoy College. We invited #CollectiveQuestion to organize an exhibition and a series of summer programs around their research into the college. ⁠We're hosting a virtual symposium on the topic August 20th, 5:30PM!

Louise Bourgeois passed away 10 years ago today. 🕷️ Bourgeois was a frequent visitor to the Martha Jackson Gallery, and her name appears often in the guest book we hold in the Martha Jackson archive. 🕷️ This entry is especially lovely, a full-page doodle! 🕷️ #louisebourgeois

The @ubdeptART MFA show I guest-curated at @UBArtGalleries, which finished installing on March 11th and then was shut down before the opening on the 12th. Here’s a pic I took the afternoon of the 12th. The students and staff worked so hard and deserved better. 😞

Question: What’s the last art show you got to see in person before lockdown? Mine was a little show of Marley Freeman’s works at Parker Gallery in LA on 2/28. Feels like 6 mos. ago but was 6 wks. (TBH I likely saw other art after that but didn’t take a pic so I can’t remember!)
