UBC is strengthening ties with India through a major set of initiatives announced today in Mumbai during Prime Minister Mark Carney (@MarkJCarney) and Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand’s (@AnitaAnandMP) visit to the country. As part of the federal government’s Canada-India Talent and Innovation Strategy, UBC is launching a permanent South Asia Hub to deepen research collaboration, academic partnerships and talent development between Canada and India. UBC also signed a new partnership with ATLAS SkillTech University (@atlasskilltech) to advance transnational education, alongside more than $4 million in entrance scholarships for outstanding Indian undergraduate students.
