An honour to meet the Chief Rabbi today. I know this is a time of deep concern for our Jewish community, following a series of vile antisemitic attacks.
We stand in solidarity. We have stepped up security for the Jewish community across the UK. But as well as treating the symptoms, we must address the causes - by tackling the roots of antisemitism.
Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis@chiefrabbi
This afternoon I met with Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, and shared with her the depth of concern and anxiety felt across the Jewish community in the wake of the campaign of violent attacks against Jewish sites. I was reassured by her personal commitment to the safety of the Jewish community and to strengthening the law to that end, as well as her recognition of the need to address the root causes of anti-Jewish hatred.

Jewish communities have shown remarkable courage in the face of appalling attacks.
Today I visited Finchley Reform Synagogue to hear directly about their impact and to thank @metpoliceuk for their work going after those responsible for this campaign of violence and intimidation.

The brutal, senseless murders of Bebe, Elsie and Alice marked one of the darkest moments in our country’s history.
The report today is truly harrowing and profoundly disturbing. It sets out systematic failures that led to this terrible event.
I’ve been overwhelmed by the bravery and determination of their families and while nothing will ever bring these three little girls back, I’m determined to make the fundamental changes needed to keep the public safe.
I will do everything I can to honour the memory of Bebe, Elsie, and Alice.
