⚠️ CUSTOMER INFORMATION - 16:00, 07/04/2026 Following the evacuation of baggage reclaim and immigration areas in the North Terminal, West Midlands Fire Service has confirmed it is safe for passengers to return, as the incident is now resolved. We are working to move all displaced passengers back into the terminal as quickly as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused some of our passengers. Safety is our number one priority and we thank people for their patience and our partners for their support.

We thought Jerry would be home by now after his heart valve replacement surgery but sadly he has suffered 2 small strokes, the first one just 3 days after surgery. He was doing so well but he suffered another stroke yesterday. I'm reaching out to the aviation community to help us get him through this. We need our Jerry back. We are aware of disruption to the rail network affecting some areas of South East England this morning. Gatwick Airport Station is operating, and passengers are still able to travel to and from central London and other destinations. However, they may experience delays. We will continue to monitor the situation and are liaising with our rail partners. We will update if the situation changes. Everyone coming to the airport by rail is advised to check with their rail operator before travelling, and to make sure they and allow plenty of time for their journey.
