The Gulu cohort adds to the nationwide UNBS media training that has reached Kampala, Mukono, Mbale, Jinja and Mbarara. #HappeningNow The Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) is conducting a media training in Jinja to equip journalists with knowledge on Standards and Metrology. The training aims to enhance accurate and informed reporting on standards and consumer protection, supporting UNBS’s efforts of promoting quality and safety in Uganda. The Jinja cohort is part of the nation wide UNBS media training that started in Kampala last week, was in Mukono and Mbale this week and is expected in Mbarara and Gulu next week. The National Media training by UNBS was made possible with support from the UK Government (UKAID) through @TradeMarkAfrica #JournalismForConsumerProtection #GrowingQualityEnterprises

This training aims to strengthen media reporting that promotes consumer safety and fairness in the market. #HappeningNow The Uganda National Bureau of Standards is hosting a Standards and Metrology training with journalists in Eastern Uganda. The training happening now at Mbale Resort Hotel, is aimed at enlightening the journalists about the UNBS mandate and services, to ensure accurate reporting of Quality, Standards and Metrology related issues, as well as UNBS efforts in attaining the ten-fold growth strategy. The National Training of journalists that started in Kampala last week, is ongoing in Mbale, Mukono and Jinja this week, and is expected to be held in Mbarara and Gulu, next week.
