The National Consultative Dialogue on Business and Human Rights convened today, organized by the National Centre for Human Rights, in partnership with @UNDPJordan and with support from the Government of the Netherlands. The dialogue provided a platform to discuss national and international frameworks on business and human rights, including the role of government in enforcing legislation and the role of the private sector in applying human rights due diligence and duty of both government and business sector in securing access to remedy, in line with international standards and best practices. Participants also explored ways to support national efforts to strengthen legislative and institutional frameworks that advance responsible business practices and support the development of a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights in Jordan, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position to become a regional leader in this field. #UNDPJordan50
