On Friday at MSP Airport, thousands of people came together to stand against ICE in Minneapolis. Nearly 100 clergy put their bodies on the line in an act of civil disobedience, praying for our members who have been detained and holding their names and faces high. @UNITEHERE17

Airport workers and allies with @UNITEHERE17 @SEIU #50501movement confronted the Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) Airport Board of Commissioners, demanding ICE out of MSP. They don't want to see any more of their colleagues detained or any more deportation flights.

WORKERS HAVE WON BIG AT MSP AIRPORT!!! We have a tentative agreement that averts the HMS Host Thanksgiving Week strike. It is an historic agreement that includes the HIGHEST wage increases ever won at the airport.

No one wants a strike and we are committed to all possible good faith dialogue with HMS Host and doing the work necessary to find resolutions to the remaining issues on the table. If however there is no agreement by the deadline workers are prepared to strike.

The flying public should be prepared for significant inconveniences during the busiest week of the year at MSP. They should expect to see the closures of over a dozen Restaurants, Coffee Shops and Fast Food venues throughout Terminal 1 and 2.

Today, HMS Host workers at Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport announced if we do not come to a fair agreement by 12:01 am November 24th workers at MSP Terminal 1 and 2 will strike during the busy Thanksgiving travel period.
