The BBC just brought a credentialed talking head onto Radio 4 to attack the details of Reform’s plan to defend the Channel. He got every detail wrong. They then had to admit on air he HAD NOT EVEN READ our plan (it’s only being published at 11am). Incredible.

🔥🔥🔥 Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf just took 30 minutes of live press questions. No scripted soundbites. No walking away. No media handlers shutting it down. They stood there, answered everything thrown at them in detail. That was a masterclass in political seriousness. Now try and imagine the Labour government doing the same thing. You can’t. Because they won’t. @ZiaYusufUK @Nigel_Farage @reformparty_uk

😡 Nick Ferrari Left Angered By Andy Burnham’s Border Comments Nick Ferrari listened as Andy Burnham spoke about the UK border, claiming the public “don’t like the idea that the border looks like it’s not controlled.” Ferrari was having none of it and hit back hard: “What are you talking about, man? A border that looks like it’s not controlled? It’s not controlled, Prime Minister. What don’t you get.” The public don’t look at the border and wonder if it merely looks uncontrolled. They know it isn’t controlled. Why not just be honest instead of trying to play it down? Until you can admit we’ve lost control, how are you ever going to fix it, Andy?

Japan, Bretton Woods 2.0, and the End of the Carry Era Bessent’s move toward the New York Fed matters because it signals that Treasury understands the long end is being driven by flows, not by the inflation scare Wall Street keeps recycling. Japan is now central to that story. If Tokyo must defend the yen, the Ministry of Finance may need to sell U.S. Treasuries, and when the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt becomes a seller, the long end will reprice. That is why this moment looks bigger than a routine currency episode. It has the feel of a new Plaza Accord and the opening phase of Bretton Woods 2.0. Since the 1980s, Japan has sat at the heart of the global yen carry trade, exporting savings, suppressing yields, and helping sustain a financial order built on cheap leverage and central-bank engineering. That order is now breaking down. The end of QE and the coming end of the yen carry trade mean capital markets, not central banks, will increasingly set rates. This is also why the inflation narrative is so weak. Breakevens remain anchored. Credit markets are not pricing a new inflation regime. Wall Street keeps labeling every rise in the long end as “inflation risk,” but that is intellectual laziness. The real story is Japan, reserve liquidation, and a global adjustment process that has barely been recognized. Adding to that pressure is Big Tech’s pivot from providing savings to demanding credit. The same companies that once absorbed duration are now issuing debt to finance AI infrastructure, data centers, chips, and power. That is another reason the long end is moving. The upshot, secular forces are tightening credit conditions, and central bankers need to cut policy rates to help facilitate the adjustment. A global economy hooked on the carry trade cannot go cold turkey. This unwind requires finesse. Bessent is starting that process, but central bankers and Wall Street still need to abandon the Keynesian dogma that treats rise in the long end as an inflation scare! The deeper shift is structural. America is escaping secular stagnation by running the economy hot through supply-side economics, deregulation, and productive investment. A Warsh Fed would fit that world, because growth would no longer be treated as a policy mistake. Japan, meanwhile, may finally be restructuring both its economy and its geopolitical role. That is why this is not an inflation story. It is the beginning of a new regime.

@WestHamViews_ It’s a false vote! Until rule 2.7 is invoked and we see who is Staveley backed by its vapour ware! A media release by Gold does not even tick the rule 2.4 box! If we start to see names like Rueben bros and not timber companies like Ashland capital 😂 different ball game 😎

The next election will be an existential fight to save the country we love, a mission I have now been fighting for over 30 years. After two national election victories in as many years, many people now recognise that it will be a binary choice between Reform UK and Labour. With the prospect of an early general election increasingly likely, it is natural that people from across the political spectrum are considering which side of that fight they intend to be on. Patriotic voters believe in many of the same things, but only one party truly has the possibility of delivering change. To deliver that change, I understand Reform UK will need the support of people from other parties, as well as millions who have never voted before. That is the broad coalition I am building. Over the last 18 months, I have demonstrated that our movement will always be open to anyone who shares our commitment to restoring Britain’s borders, rebuilding our economy, renewing our democracy and putting the British people first. My previous history in politics has also shown that I am always prepared to put country before party, as I did in 2019. But I will never turn my back on my team. There will always be a home in Reform UK for those who believe that 14 years of Conservative government, followed by the last 2 years of Labour, have failed the British people... and that our country now needs a fundamentally different direction. I will continue to do whatever is necessary to defeat the left and provide Britain with the strong, serious leadership it deserves. This is the last chance for our country, and we cannot afford to waste it.

Your West Ham player thoughts are on the money ⚒️ Watch rules on takeovers rule 2.4 and 2.7. At best gold has done a media effort at 2.4 means little. Until rule 2.7 is declared preemptive process does not begin. More importantly Staveley has to declare where the £160m is coming from

The UK government: “Pensions are the problem”. UK State Pension: £12,500/yr for a lifetime of work. Illegal migrant: £41,000/yr paid by the taxpayer. — 500+ arrivals every week. Invaders get THREE TIMES MORE than those who built the country. Absolutely disgraceful.

Playing devil’s advocate here ! DK only wanted 15% of Golds shares? This offer now opens gate for Sullivan to be a fucktard again. I just hope DK buys the 25.1% to unlock the transfer blockage. With a MOU with Staveley to buy the club and then reduce shareholding? Or this window is gone until Jan 27! Regulator could oust DS as well 🙏

BANK OF JAPAN MIGHT HAVE INTERVENED IN THE CURRENCY MARKET. USD/JPY pair dropped from 163.6 to 159.5 in the last 6 hours, a 2.5% move. This type of move doesn't happen without central bank intervention. The BOJ makes its rate decision tomorrow. If this drop is real intervention, it means officials are moving before the decision to avoid a much bigger yen selloff if tomorrow's outcome disappoints markets.

The BBC has had thirty eight years and £3.8 billion a year to explain British farming to the British public. The job was eventually done by an American shopping website, in eight episodes, fronted by the man the BBC itself dropped over a row about a steak. Countryfile first went out on 24 July 1988, and its origin is the part nobody brings up. It replaced Farming, a programme that had spent thirty years making news for the people who actually did the work. The new show was deliberately widened to take in everybody who merely liked the countryside as well as those who lived off it. Widened meant softened. In 2009 it moved to Sunday evenings, where five to six million people still watch, and it has been settled ever since into an hour of scenery, a ramble, a calendar competition and the weather. Then in June 2021 a company best known for selling doorbells put out a series about a man failing to farm a thousand acres, and within a week the British public understood the subsidy system. Look at what an American retailer put on screen that thirty eight years of Sunday nights had not. A thousand acres, a full year of work, £144 profit. A crop drowning in the field with nobody coming to help. A farmer selling at a price he is not allowed to set. A council able to shut a restaurant standing on a man's own land. The accounts, open, with jokes over the top. James Rebanks, who keeps sheep for a living rather than for a segment, reckoned Clarkson did more for farmers in one series than Countryfile had managed in thirty years. The NFU said the same thing in nicer words. Now the funding, which is where it gets genuinely funny. Countryfile is paid for by £180 a year, rising on 1 April, taken from every household in Britain that watches live television, on pain of prosecution. Twenty three million licences. Three point eight billion pounds. Guaranteed money, a captive audience, a national mandate and a prime Sunday slot. Clarkson's Farm is paid for by people voluntarily pressing play, and it goes out in more than 240 countries. The nation's farmers had one broadcaster legally funded by them, obliged to serve them, sitting on the biggest slot in British television. It gave them a weather forecast and a photography competition, and when a bloke with a Lamborghini tractor did the actual job for free, the same building's stars went on a sofa to complain about his opening credits. The BBC had the money, the mandate, the Sunday night and thirty eight years. It used them to film the view.

🔥 Nick Ferrari loses it with Wes Streeting over the French and the boats! Nick Ferrari put Defence Secretary Wes Streeting on the spot this morning about what the UK is actually getting from its relationship with France on the borders. With small boat crossings still happening, Ferrari tore into the arrangement. He pointed out that despite the UK committing around £600 million, French police are still being seen simply watching the dinghies launch into the water. When Streeting started talking about “the work we’re doing with the French”, Ferrari snapped: “But what work are we doing with the French? We’ve sent them £600m, what do they do? They just watch the dinghies take to the water. That’s not doing work with them at all!” He’s right. It’s a complete waste of money. The French do next to nothing to stop the boats. Yesterday we saw it again with officers just standing there watching as people piled onto a dinghy and set off.

🚨BERNIE SANDERS IS HAVING A HARD TIME EXPLAINING WHY HE HAS $15 MILLION IN A CHINESE BANK ACCOUNT — THANK NICK SHIRLEY FOR DIGGING THAT ONE UP! 🔗 t.me/+o-xXNYKd7fE4Z… The socialist millionaire just got exposed again. Bernie Sanders is scrambling to explain a $15 million Chinese bank account that citizen journalist Nick Shirley uncovered. The same guy who spent decades railing against the “billionaire class” and “corporate greed” somehow has a massive fortune sitting in a bank in communist China. No coherent explanation. Just the usual deflection. Nick Shirley has done more to uncover Democrat corruption in the past three months than most government officials managed in years. First the Medicaid fraud, now Bernie’s Chinese cash. The man is a one-person wrecking crew. Socialists love other people’s money — until it’s their own secret accounts that get revealed. Share this everywhere so every Bernie bro who still believes the “fight the oligarchy” act sees the truth! Follow @mcafeenew for more drops.
