@danlouforever harsh on my part but my concern is with the legacy of suffering & exclusion the catholic church as an institution has inflicted on people for centuries, so i can't say i'm really interested in what the pope has to say, even if he's being personally sincere w the statement. apab.

What I find most frustrating about assigning the roles of women/victim of patriarchal violence & man/perpetrator & examplar of patriarch violence in m/m ships is that it's used as reductive short hand to assign virtue & goodness onto the "woman" & villainy & malice onto the "man"
