Yelahanka – The Birth Place of KempeGowda
Did you know Yelahanka is older than Bengaluru itself?
Long before Kempe Gowda I built the mud fort in 1537 that became our city, Yelahanka was a thriving town ruled by the Yelahanka Nadu Prabhus (chieftains). Inscriptions from the 12th century mention it as ‘Ilaipakka Naadu’ under Chola and later Hoysala influence. Kempe Gowda I himself was born in Yelahanka. He served as a feudatory under the Vijayanagara Empire and used Yelahanka as his base.
Legend says during a hunt near Yelahankanadu, he witnessed a brave rabbit chasing a dog — an auspicious sign of courage and strength. Inspired, he sought permission from Emperor Achyuta Deva Raya and shifted his capital to build Bengaluru (then a forested area).
He constructed the iconic mud fort, temples, tanks, and markets, laying the foundation of modern Bangalore. Yelahanka even lent its ruling clan’s legacy to the new city!
Today, while skyscrapers and the airport corridor surround Old Yelahanka’s traditional homes and weaving heritage, its ancient roots remind us: Bengaluru didn’t just appear — it grew from historic towns like this one. What’s your favourite “hidden history” spot in Bengaluru — Yelahanka, Begur, Basavanagudi, or another old village? Share below!

In SaudiArabia, two men were driving when they collided, and one of the vehicles was severely damaged.
In such a situation, it's likely that both drivers would step out of their cars in anger, exchange accusations, and the argument would escalate, drawing a crowd and perhaps even requiring police intervention, which would complicate matters further.
At that precise moment, the call to Maghrib prayer sounded, so they decided to head off together to pray, side by side near the accident site while waiting for law enforcement.

You have no job? Pray tahajjud.
You stressed? Pray tahajjud.
You wanna get married? Pray tahajjud.
You have health problems? Pray tahajjud.
You want something? Pray tahajjud.
Sometimes you pray Tahajjud for something you think you want and end up forgetting it completely because the sweetness of giving up sleep for Allāh is better than anything you wanted in the first place.
The du'ā made at tahajjud is like an arrow which does not miss its target. Try it for 40 days.

A man in Surat tried to withdraw 10,000 from an ATM in 2017.
The ATM didn’t give any cash.
But the money was deducted from his account.
He complained to Bank of Baroda many times.
Emails. Written complaints. Follow-ups.
Nothing happened.
The bank said the ATM belonged to SBI, so it wasn’t their responsibility.
But the customer didn’t give up.
He went to the consumer court.
Then came a long wait.
9 years later, the court gave its decision.
The forum said:
If money is deducted in a failed ATM transaction, the bank must reverse it within 5 days.
If they don’t, they must pay ₹100 per day as a penalty.
The bank failed to prove that the ATM actually dispensed the cash.
So the court ordered:
• ₹10,000 refund
• Interest
• ₹100 per day penalty for 3,288 days
Total compensation: ₹3.28 lakh
A ₹10,000 problem turned into 3,28,800 compensation.

Your income is written. Your spouse is written. Your career is written. The food you eat is written. Your death is written. So please, tell me. Why are you so hard on yourself and stressing yourself on something that has already been decreed? Trust Allah with all these affairs. Just continue to work on yourself all the while focusing on your deen. And eventually, everything will fall into place at the right time.
