@fineokay_ A side also being able to simply just switch characters mid game isn't something I ever particularly liked about OW and I don't really do in Rivals either. Countering through character choice feels a bit lame compared to mastering your character and learning the match up

@fineokay_ As someone who has over 2000 hours in the game. Yes, yes it is but that's kinda because of two reasons imo. Rivals is still fresh and they haven't added as many characters and team ups which is like the big thing with Rivals.

Paladins > Rivals

@fineokay_ The second reason is because Paladins matches have tons of variety (not always but of course the option is there) Between, their specific character traits, card loadouts and in game item store to have a bit more counterplay. It feels less too repetitive.
