First saw the Grateful Dead in 1998 at Alpine Valley. Having listened to only hissy live tapes prior, I had no idea how good they actually sounded live. Opening song was Mississippi Half Step & during the 1st chorus when Phil walked down the scale I yelled "They have BASS!" 💔
