Respected CM @MaryamNSharif, while timely regulation of businesses is a welcome step, I reckon gyms and fitness centers deserve special consideration. Many office-goers work out after duty hours only. Health is as important as food, and extending gym timings to 22:00 as well would support a fitter Pakistan.

PTI social media trolls will talk about everything except the disaster it has been in KPK for the past 12 years, Usman Buzdar's train wreck in Punjab, and the 4 years of witch-hunting, directionless, faiz-supported hybrid federal government ... You have to be either totally dumb or shamelessly hypocritical to lecture anyone on good governance and democratic norms ...

🚨 Sir Alex Ferguson on modern football debates: 🗣️ Ferguson: “People talk a lot about tactics today, and of course the game has evolved in that sense. Managers are more detailed, teams are more structured, and everything is analysed more than ever before. But at the end of the day, football will always come down to players and mentality. At Manchester United, we focused on building winners. That wasn’t just about ability, it was about character, how players handled pressure, and how they responded when things weren’t going their way. You can have the best system in the world, but if the players don’t have the belief or the personality, it won’t last. There were many games where tactics didn’t win it for us. It was the attitude, the refusal to lose, the willingness to take responsibility in big moments. That’s something you can’t always teach, but you can build it into the culture of a club. That’s why, no matter how much football changes, the most important things will always stay the same. Players win matches, mentality wins trophies. That’s what lasts.”

When your father was assassinated he was out of Lahore, returned and went straight to his home. Consoled and supported the family and pursued the case as CM Punjab. He had the same inches then as well. If you can’t value who stood by you in tough times, at least don’t be mean.

Something important is happening that most people are missing. In the last 72 hours, three separate narratives have been launched against Pakistan’s role in the US-Iran talks: India calls Munir a “hardline Islamist with a jihadi mindset.” Israel’s lobby in Washington calls him an “IRGC asset” and a “red flag.” PTI calls him a dictator undermining democracy. All three. Same week. Same target. Three days before the April 22 deadline. This is not coincidence. This is a coordinated pressure campaign - and it tells you exactly how much Pakistan’s mediation is threatening certain interests. Here’s what the noise is designed to drown out: Iran’s own ambassador said talks will happen “in Pakistan and nowhere else, because we trust Pakistan.” The White House called Islamabad “the only mediator.” Trump called Munir “my favourite field marshal.” Iran’s Ghalibaf credited Pakistan’s hosting with producing “clearer mutual understanding.” A mediator trusted simultaneously by Washington and Tehran is not a liability. That’s the entire point. That’s the job. India has no seat at this table. Israel doesn’t want a deal at all. And Pakistan’s domestic opposition has chosen the worst possible moment to amplify foreign talking points against their own country. The ceasefire expires tomorrow. The back-channel in the last 72 hours has been the most intense yet. A deal - or at minimum an extension - is closer than the headlines suggest. Pakistan didn’t get here by accident. It got here through decades of relationships that others dismissed as liabilities and that turned out to be the only currency that mattered. Watch Islamabad. Not the noise around it.

🚨Roy Keane on Bruno Fernandes: “I don’t understand why people act like what Bruno is doing is normal. 18 assists in a season and we’re treating it like it’s expected? That’s not normal, that’s elite. Some of the greatest midfielders we’ve ever seen, like Zinedine Zidane and Andrés Iniesta, never even hit those numbers in a single season. That tells you everything. We’re watching a player deliver at the highest level, week in, week out and instead of appreciating it, people downplay it. I don’t get that.”

India has more than a billion citizens & I’m sure most are decent & rational. But those who are visible on their TV & social media - those who scream, shout, abuse & obsess about Pakistan - they are a stain on their nation. They are petty, insecure & pathetic losers.

Every time a part of me feels bad for Imran Khan I am reminded of the vile hatred and poison that he injected into and still flows unfettered in the veins of his “tigers”. Posted something on FB and the amount of vile Youthia comments is insane. I have posted something on FB after years. This hatred reminds me why IK out of jail would be an absolute death sentence for Pakistan.
