Today, Fri, Oct 25, Trail Ridge Rd/US Hwy 34 in #RMNP officially closed for the season to through travel. Current closures are Rainbow Curve (east) & Colorado River Trailhead (west). Closure points may fluctuate this fall. Weather permitting, reopen planned the last week of May.

Thanks to the efforts of hundreds of fire and public safety personnel, the threat posed by the nearby fires to Estes Park has significantly decreased. We hope visitors will feel free to come and enjoy Estes Park again while remaining safe and diligent. bit.ly/3AeMhQU

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT IN #RMNP. Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect in all areas of RMNP, meaning the use of all fires, including charcoal briquette fires, is prohibited. Smoking is prohibited inside the park except within an enclosed vehicle or within a developed paved area.

Visit Estes Park is closely monitoring wildfires in Larmier and Boulder counties. At this time, there are no evacuation orders for Estes Park. Fires can be rapidly evolving situations. We strongly encourage all visitors to check official resources and travel with caution.

Alexander Mountain Fire is curr864 acres as of 5:45pm. All evacuations remain in place. Several roads in the area remain closed. The Joint Information Center will be closing at 8pm tonight and reopening at 8am tomorrow morning. Pay attention to all signage manager.everbridge.net/pub/1744514247…

Through Nov 30, Old Fall River Road in #RMNP is open for bicycles, e-bikes, leashed dogs (pick up after them) and hiking except during road maintenance operations and emergency closures as posted. Cyclists, hikers and pet owners may utilize the road at their own risk.

Trail Ridge Road in #RMNP has reopened. Expect wintry conditions up there, with some ice, snow, and clouds. Old Fall River Road remains closed.

Fireworks UPDATE: Please read the important announcement below from the @TownofEstesPark regarding the postponement of tonight's fireworks. The display has been rescheduled for July 15, 2023 at 9:30 pm. #estespark

Old Fall River Rd in #RMNP will open to vehicles on Sa, July 1. Currently closed to all uses including bicycles & hikers until Fri 6/30 AM for dust abatement. This scenic 9.4 mi dirt road is winding, narrow, 1-way up only, no guardrails, no shoulders. Remember a reservation 9A-2P

Highway 7 (CO-7/South St. Vrain Dr.) is closed in Lyons due to a rock slide south of Allenspark. If you're visiting Estes Park in the next few days plan to take an alternative route. The highway is accessible from Highway 72.
