Longtime foster Kim Leon has spent more than a decade helping Wake County dogs find their way to loving homes. What began as volunteering as a dog walker grew into 11 years of fostering, giving dogs a chance to decompress, heal and adjust to life outside the shelter.

After several weeks of renovations, we are officially open again, and our kennels are full of sweet dogs and cats waiting for their forever families. Come meet your new best friend. We can’t wait to see you!

After six weeks of necessary repairs, we’re reopening our doors and creating new opportunities for pets to find their forever families. We are launching the “Our Own Champions” adoption campaign from March 2–22. During this three-week event, dog and cat adoption fees are just $5.

Someone from a blocked number may call claiming Animal Control picked up your lost pet, had them spayed/neutered, and now you owe money. This is a scam.
