Three trips to Vietnam, three different groups, and three completely unique experiences. Even when the route is similar, the feel of each trip changes with the people on it. The conversations, the shared moments, and the energy of the group all shape what the experience becomes.

Small groups lead to greater flexibility and more personal attention while traveling, which is why we limit each tour to 12 people. Conversations flow more naturally, and friendships have the space to grow.

A sunrise on the dunes, a slice of apple pie in the middle of nowhere, ocean air after desert heat, and the stillness of Etosha when animals gather close. That's what's in store for you in Namibia.

Not a "group tour" type of person? We hear that a lot. Wandering Earl tours aren’t your standard group tours. We don’t use big buses, we don’t lock ourselves into hotel contracts, and we don’t travel in large groups.

Our tours are built with the help of a network of local contacts & friends in each country, people that share our vision & with whom we’ve worked for many years. Together we ensure that our itineraries are absolutely full of rewarding activities that other companies can’t offer.

On a Wandering Earl Tour, it's important to us that you never feel like you just "passed through." We want you to enjoy authentic experiences & to meet people away from those involved in mass tourism. We want you to really understand the destinations you’ve explored with us.

Everyone’s exercise routine looks a little different. In Vietnam, it’s common to see groups gathering in the early morning or evening to move together, whether it’s dancing, stretching, or light exercise.

I’m especially excited that we’re offering a Wandering Earl tour to Portugal next April. It’s a trip built around food, history, and local connections, from the backstreets of Lisbon to the vineyard terraces of the Douro Valley and the riverfront energy of Porto.

I often find myself in Portugal when I have some time between trips. It’s one of those places that keeps pulling me back. Good friends, favorite parks to wander through, great food, attractive neighborhoods and maybe even a karaoke bar you might catch me in if you’re lucky.

Been thinking you need a secret place to stash your valuables while out and about? We discovered that the traditional men’s dress in Bhutan, the gho, has the perfect hidden pocket.

There’s a fun little game in my newsletter each week where you try to guess the location of a photo. The more specific, the better. Sometimes, many people guess correctly. Other times, only a couple or even none at all. I'll always do my best to stump you all!
