Lots of "collectors" in nfts liked to pose as patrons, but in reality they were mostly just traders and financiers looking for profit. Narrative-driven hype men, trend-chasers who will support you as long as it's popular to do so & as long as it can benefit them.

Almost 650,000 NFTs currently still owned by Nifty Gateway Omnibus wallet.
Still no info on what will will happen to these if people don't / can't withdraw before deadline.

NG showed little respect for the original spirit of cryptoart and its founding artists. They muddied the waters and largely contributed to turning something creatively disruptive and energetic into just another trend to exploit. To say that NG was "very innovative" sounds like cynicism...

A lot of you are missing the point. NG was very innovative for its time; their innovation was not really blockchain technology but rather the new marketing practice they experimented with when releasing drops. Gamified, networked, perhaps a little bit gambly ?

Pretty straight forward to use ArDrive to backup data/metadata, although some kind of automatic tooling built into nftimeless.com would be 🤌🤌
