As the Executive Director, she aims to help reduce and prevent the community violence that took her only son’s life, by working with youth and families who experience trauma, youth pregnancy prevention and assistance to pregnant moms at high risk for poor birth outcomes.

Our Maternal Child & Family Health S/Hero is Sharon Coombs-Rose, Executive Director of The Christopher Rose Community Empowerment Campaign, Inc. CRCEC was founded in honor of her belated son, who lost his life to violence after being attacked on a July 4th weekend.
