W/ a decade-long delay, election has become one of Haiti’s biggest hurdles. A disease that decays the country's democratic process, regional/global alliances & trust. As I pointed out, election costs mental health & forces Haitians to question themselves about leadership. 1/2

From a historical standpoint, Haiti is more suitable to make that joke than U.K. The 1803 Lousiana Purchase —which doubled U.S. size in the 19th c.— resulted from Napoleon’s defeat in Saint Domingue/Haiti. History won’t forever be silenced by oppressors.
