Oscar didn't die because he had cancer, he died because we ran out of treatment options. This is why we fund #neuroblastoma research in his name. #TeamOscar

"Oscar was a smashing wee boy, a great character. He was very mischievous and loved having a laugh. Oscar loved playing golf and even had a wee half set - he loved hitting balls around the garden. After he died we thought 'how can we keep his memory alive?' And we decided to harness the huge public support for Oscar." As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is underway, the Knox family held the hugely popular Oscar Knox Cup finale taking place on Friday. It was the perfect ten as the Oscar Knox legacy passed £200,000 milestone in fundraising for Childhood Cancer Research. Wee Oscar Knox captured the hearts of the nation during his high-profile fight with neuroblastoma, but tragically passed away in 2014 at just five years old. In his memory, his parents Stephen and Leona created the Oscar Knox Fund and launched an annual charity golf day that has now raised over £200,000 for vital research into the disease. 🎥Dylan Hegarty @Wee_Oscar
