Visa is doing marketing consults (see pinned!)
“You know, it’s very natural for us today to glance casually at history and assume that human progress must’ve happened in a somewhat linear pace. Slow and steady, right? But that’s not really true at all. Progress in fact has always happened in tremendous leaps, in startlingly small clusters of space, in very narrow flickers of time, at the hands of mere handfuls of people. The marvellous riches that we take for granted as our birthright were so hard-fought, so fragile. Scientists, innovators, creators, explorers- we owe them everything, and yet we thwart them at every step! There have always been too few of them to begin with! Their spirits crushed, their bowls emptied, their work mocked! We are the beneficiaries of fortune we cannot even begin to fathom, and we do so little with it…”

If you’ve always wanted to write a book but have never been sure how to approach it, here’s one I’ve used & recommended: think about what book you’d want to be introduced as the author of, about how that would influence the conversations people would have with you. Work backwards

While many teams are working on secure and trustless interop, @RelayProtocol is quietly (or not) taking over the space as the top interop protocol and it's slowly being integrated into wallets, bridge UIs, etc... The basic premise is simple: 1. You specify an order (offchain), submit it to their server and are told where to send funds 2. Once funds are sent, they will (or not ????) fulfill the order In theory the order can be anything - a swap, a bridge transfer, NFT purchase on OpenSea, or (why not ?) an Amazon book purchase (does not work yet but I see no reason why it wouldn't). It's essentially Web2 model with crypto payment. It's just that with Web2 you get some legal protection if things go wrong, here nothing really Is this the future of interop and intents ?

This is extremely bizarre. There is some weird illogical belief that, once (*if) AI can perform the vast majority of jobs, all of a sudden the only place real humans will have an edge is in financial markets? Does that sound rational? Like AI will be a better plumber and uber driver and brain surgeon than any human but you’ll be able to *invest* better than AI, that will be your new job, you’re an investor now, you just sit around an invest in shit all day. The only way this makes any sense is if you 100% buy into the meme-ification of all markets and the only way real assets garner any value is through ~vibes~ that only real humans can possess(?) which is also a bizarre vision of the future. The “democratization” and disintermediation of markets does not mean the average person magically has some insight that citadel and rentech do not have. The difference between someone “having access to” vs “should be using” more financial tools is massive and the hypergamble your way out of it narrative is corrosive to the impressionable zoomer mind. This isn’t some utopian future, no shit if you turn the world into a casino then everyone will be gamblers.
